Duration of the Courses:
1. Diploma in Agriculture - Course Duration 2 Years, will be finish within 3 years
2. Diploma in Seed Technology - Course Duration 2 Years, will be finish within 3 years
3. Diploma in Agricultural Engineering - Course Duration 3 Years, will be finish within 4 years
4. Sendriya Vyavasaayam - 2 years

Eligibility Criteria for Agriculture Polytechnic Courses in Andhra Pradesh:

The students who have passed S.S.C or equivalent exam and those who are residing in rural areas are eligible. The student must have studied atleast for 4 years during the period of first to tenth class schools located in rural areas (non-municipal area). The candidate should obtain 5.0 GPA (Grade Points). In case SCs and STs categories the candidate should obtain at least 4.0 GPA (Grade Points) of marks. Intermediate failed candidates also eligible for apply. Medium of instruction for all the Polytechnic courses is Telugu.

Age: The candidates for admission to first year polytechnic courses in the University shall be required to have completed 15 years of age as on 31st August of the year of admission with an upper age limit of 22 years. ( Born between 31st August 1995 to 31st August 2002)

Agriculture Polytechnic Diploma Courses Application Fee:
The candidates can pay Fee through DD from Any of the Nationalized Bank for Rs. 500 (Rs. 250 for SC and ST, PH candidates) drawn in favour of Comptroller, ANGRAU, Guntur and sent to The Registrar, Acharya N.G Ranga Agricultural University, Administrative Camp Office, Vijaya Durga Towers, M.G. Inner Ring Road, Guntur 522509. by Speed Post or Registered Post only.

    My son kalyan Kumar, he applied for agri engg and send all related forms in speed post.his ssc gpa is 8.7.he belongs to sc category. He is soo intrested on agricultral egg. Pls tell me sir can he get seat on that course. he was completed his studies from 6to10 on village. please reply me sir

    1. yes, you son can get a seat in ag. engineering or agriculture diploma whatever available. Engineering seats are few, Ag. Diploma seats are more.

    1. As per last year counselling schedule, they called upto 5.3 GPA in BC(A) category in Andhra University Area and upto 8.3 in Sri Venkateswara University area.

  5. Sir, i am sanjay. I passed ssc with 9.2 grade points. I studied 1 to 5 at mpp. School in a small village. I applied for ag.diploma. Will i get seat? I didnt get any call letter. Could you solve my problem , why i ddnt get call letter. Also tell me some more info.

    1. It will be depending on availability of seats and joining percentage. Sometimes applied candidates are not joining in the course.
