Kanika Mann to play grown up Bondita in Color's TV series Barrister Babu

Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega fame Kanika Mann will be seen in Colors TV's popular daily programme Barrister Babbu as the grown-up Bondita. The long-awaited leap that was supposed to be revealed earlier this year in the programme will finally happen. Due to the second wave of the Covid-19 wave, the leap was postponed, and the producers proceeded to shoot with the old cast.

Barrister Babu, a popular Colors TV show starring Aurra Bhatnagar Badoni and Pravisht Mishra, has been the buzz of the town since its beginning. The show's plotline has received a lot of attention, but Bondita as Aurra and Anirudh aka Pravisht's chemistry has also received a lot of attention. While Barrister Babu continues to draw a large audience, it has been rumoured that the programme is ready to take a leap forward, with Kanika Mann of Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega fame as Bondita.

Kanika has been cast as the grown-up Bondita post-leap in Barrister Babu, according to a report in the Times of India. “In two to three days, Kanika will begin filming. Initially, it will be a promotional shoot, according to a source. Interestingly, numerous actresses were considered for the part, including Reem Sheikh and Ashnoor Kaur, but Kanika was the one who was finally cast. Meanwhile, sources in the media stated that the creators had planned this leap for the beginning of the year.

However, due to the second wave of COVID 19 sweeping the country, it was put on hold. In the next weeks, the sow will make the leap. “The filmmakers are waiting for Maharashtra's limitations to be eased before shooting with the actors after the leap. “Shooting with the new cast might take place in the last week of June or the first week of July,” the insider stated.
